We Welcome You To Centereach
The Centereach Civic Association is made up of local
residents who volunteer their time and energy to create
and maintain an acceptable and pleasant quality of life
here in Centereach. Many families who have been here a
while, and plan to stay, have recently taken inventory
of Centereach and have dedicated themselves to taking
control of its future. Our number one asset here is
decent, hardworking people. Good neighbors. Living
somewhat parallel lives, we all strive to have a nice
house, raise our kids safely and successfully and have a
little fun doing it.
Our next biggest asset is the
school system, the schools are good and getting better.
Many newcomers are moving in to raise their families
here and paying good money to do so. Centereach has in
fact become a "hot spot". Detrimental to Centereach is
our Main Street or lack thereof. Middle Country Road is
not representative of us who live here at all. The many
vacancies, the poorly maintained buildings, over
saturation of auto repair and fast food are all results
of poor planning - not indicative of the Centereach
Community.
For many years we conducted or everyday lives
as though this is what we are stuck with, however, we
now know that this is not the case. The Civic has been
investigating many avenues of getting us from where we
are to we could and should be. This is all very exciting
and very reachable. There has never been a better time
to participate in our Civic because we are going to turn
this town around. Thank you for visiting and come again
